Trawling arm: three position with 1/4 ton electric winch having 200' of 5/8" rope. Able to tow up to 50' trawl.

Electronics: Sitex L.C.D. radar 13mi. range, Garmin g.p.s. 400 series combo-chartplotter/sonar, Uniden 25 watt VHF radio with 13' antenna, Iridium 9505 satellite phone, remote control bow-mounted spotlight, aft-mounted cabin and trawl floodlights, anchor windlass with remote, 12volt accessory outlets, and raw water washdown pump.

Platform: 3'x8.5' work platform with safety rails aft of trawling arm. Suitable for biological sample gathering, dive platform or dinghy storage.

Daily Fee: $400.00 including captain and Fuel. Vessel rental to be approved be the University of New Orleans for scientific research purposes in near coastal waters of southeast Louisiana only. The University of New Orleans reserves the right to accept or deny the use of the Research Vessel Cavalla to any party at any time.

The Cavalla is moored at Seabrook Harbor Drystack facility in New Orleans and departs from there as a home port for all research activities. The Cavalla does have a custom tandem axle trailer with surge brakes to move it to other research locations or service. If trailering is necessary to perform research, the rental fee will be increased according to the mileage from UNO.
