Industry Liaison

DEPARTMENT: Computer Science


Serve as a liaison between UNO's Computer Science Department and GE Capital to help run the Software Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SWEAP) established between the 2 institutions.

Act as a coach for Computer Science students expected to be enrolled in the program.

Establish similar apprenticeship/internship programs with other IT corporations.

Assist with High Schools outreach activities.

Intensify the department's collaborative efforts with local IT companies.

Teach one undergraduate course per semester as the needs of the department dictate.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  M.S. in Computer Science or closely related field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5 or more years of hands on Java development experience. 3 or more years of web application database integration.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
