Assistant Registrar for Academic Degree Auditing

POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Registrar for Academic Degree Auditing will support and maintain the Degree Audit System for every major, minor, and concentration offered by the University of New Orleans.


This person will be responsible for processing graduation audits to ensure students have met graduation requirements and notify students of the results of the audit prior to final awarding or denial of application. Additionally, this person will process all submitted substitution/waiver requests.

Process finalized audits to include: updating final transcripts, diploma production and communication of all audit findings to students.

Provide back-up coverage for verifying processing and accuracy of grade entry (including faculty) and policy fulfillment; including final grades, Pass/No Credit grade option, audit, repeat grades, grade changes, incomplete grades (including conversion at deadline); updating student transcripts and final grade reports.

Provide point-of-service customer service: phone, e-mail and in-person during peak registration periods.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree. Strong computer background and experience. Demonstrated ability to read, understand and implement technical manuals. Experience dealing with system design. Demonstrated technical experience in graduation and/or auditing. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate technical issues to students and advisors in a non-technical manner.
