POSITION SUMMARY: The University of New Orleans, under dynamic new leadership, seeks to expand our community-based outreach and re-connect with our alumni. With this renewed focus, we seek to fill the position of Annual Fund Manager. Working under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Annual Fund Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of a comprehensive annual giving program as part of an overall fundraising plan for The University of New Orleans.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as staff lead in developing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program which takes into account the need to establish recurring annual giving, engage new donors, inspire alumni participation and encourage campus-wide involvement. Identifying, motivating and managing volunteer leadership program. Coordinates the development of an effective pipeline of annual donors to provide a steady flow of prospects and donors to higher levels of giving. This includes developing strategies to create and manage the annual giving program to support the University's mission and campaigns. Visits with current annual fund donors (stewardship) and prospective annual fund donors. Monitors and evaluates Annual Giving program effectiveness and makes recommendations for continued development and improvementIdentifies events and activities for annual giving donors and volunteers. Works closely with the Director of Development and other departmental staff to ensure coordination with their respective fundraising efforts. Serves as staff support for all special events relating to donor cultivation and recognition. Produces periodic reports as required for the Foundation's committee members, President/CEO and the Director of Development. Performs other responsibilities assigned as needed to meet the goals and objectives of the University of New Orleans


Bachelor's degree. Minimum of five years' experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising. Applied and analytical thinking skills. Management experience using goals and objectives. Demonstrated commitment to a high level of donor/customer service. Strong team concept and experience working in a results-oriented team environment. Professional demeanor. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent oral and written communication skills including report preparation. Solid writing, editing and presentation ability. Proven ability to independently accomplish goals and establish priorities with minimal direction. Must be flexible regarding work schedule


Master's degree. Project management and training experience. Experience in strategic planning, direct mail, tele-fundraising campaigns, marketing, donor relations/stewardship and grant writing. Proficiency in use of donor databases and prospect research tools, e.g. Raiser's Edge, LexisNexis and/or WealthPoint. Ability to respond to multiple demands concurrently. Experience in cultivation and segmentation of donor prospects. Ability to use social networking for outreach and communication

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
