The Department of Planning and Urban Studies / Transportation Studies invites applications for the position of Coordinator – Business Affairs.

THE POSITION: Provide administrative support to the Planning and Urban Studies Department Chair and Program Coordinators, the Director of the UNO Transportation Institute, the Center for Urban and Public Affairs, and the Transportation Studies program. Duties will include:

Serve as the Business Manager for all sponsored research activities. Monitor all sponsored research grants and contracts accounting. Monitor all cost share accounts. Process all forms for subcontracts. Monitor subcontracts for timely invoicing and reporting requirements. Serve as an Office Manager for limited administrative activities. Monitor all general fund accounts. Process all personnel action forms for faculty and staff. Process all hiring paperwork for Graduate Assistants and Student Workers. Serve as timekeeper for all leave transactions and student worker reporting. Serve as Supervisor for Federal Work Study and Budget Student Workers. Process all Purchasing transactions. Obtain pricing from vendors. Submit requests through PeopleSoft for purchase orders. Receive items by documenting items received versus items ordered. Responsible for procurement of office supplies. Serve as liaison with Facility Services. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree. Degree may be substituted with a minimum of 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in a higher education environment managing sponsored research projects. Microsoft Office proficiency. Knowledge of higher education procedures and common practices.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience tracking and managing financial records and book keeping. Experience using SharePoint and PeopleSoft/nVision.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
