DEPARTMENT: Intensive English Language Program, Division of International Education

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of Intensive English Language Program, including budget preparation, administration, hiring, quality control, supervision, training and evaluation of all professional academic and administrative staff, and weekly staff meetings. Strategic planning responsibility short and long term to include schedule, staff, personnel structure, and business opportunities.  Develop and assess new program possibilities, including teaching internship program, use of community volunteers.  Design and implement special courses and new class offerings.

Supervision of all marketing and recruitment initiatives, brochure production, website and mailing list management, campus meetings, community outreach, follow-up on requests for information, and contact with foreign embassies, universities and educational advising offices in close collaboration with IELP administrative coordinators. Evaluation of instructional staff and academic materials, maintain academic integrity and policies of program, make final decisions regarding student advancement and retention in close collaboration with the IELP academic coordinator. Oversee student services including IELP registration, knowledge of immigration regulations and responsibilities in order to serve as DSO, UNO admissions advising, counseling and coordinating activities with Admissions, OISS and Academic Affairs. Attend Division staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in English as a Second Language or related field, ESL teaching experience, 3 years experience in a language program setting, and 2 years supervisory and administrative experience.  Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, communication and organizational skills.  Demonstrated competence in office computer skills.  Knowledge of a second language.  Must hold U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status to meet federal requirements for professional practice as a Designated School Official.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years administrative experience in an Intensive English program, marketing and university recruiting experience and fluency in a second language.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
