POSITION SUMMARY

The Reception Services Assistant is critical to overall office functions of Enrollment Services. The receptionist receives incoming applications, transcripts, financial aid documents, and other associated documents from walk in visitors and other offices on campus; greets and assists all visitors to the Privateer Enrollment Center, transcribes incoming requests for information, receives and refers incoming calls, distributes incoming mail, and informally counsels applicants, prospective students, current students and special cohorts, family members, and the university community. The receptionists also assess and collect application fees and verification documents as needed for enrollment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

: include, but are not limited to: • Counsel and advise current and prospective students to resolve enrollment services issues • Screen/monitor walk-in appointments and designate person to the appropriated representative. • Maintain monthly statistical report or specific data. Monitor evaluation/surveys submitted by customers. • Direct students and/or parents as they enter the registration area to make certain that they are in the appropriate area and/or line. • Develop the required knowledge base to serve as a resource to all students coming to the Student Enrollment Services Center. • Actively seek out this knowledge and take advantage of opportunities to grow professionally.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree. Customer service experience; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
