POSITION SUMMARY


RESPONSIBILITIES

​RESPONSIBILITIES: · 70% Serves as staff lead in developing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program which takes into account the need to establish recurring annual giving, engage new donors, inspire alumni participation and encourage campus-wide involvement. This includes developing strategies to create and manage the annual giving program to support the University’s mission and campaigns · Monitors and evaluates Annual Giving program effectiveness and makes recommendations for continued development and improvement · Primary point of contact with the UNO Calling Center and ScaleFunder, our crowdfunding platform. Will coordinate on campus efforts in these two important outreach and fundraising efforts · Identifying, motivating and managing partners in UNO Tomorrow, our volunteer leadership giving program · Effectively coordinates development of the pipeline of annual donors as both prospects and donors for higher levels of giving · Visits with current annual fund donors (stewardship) and prospective annual fund donors · Identifies events and activities for annual giving donors and volunteers · 10% Works closely with the Director of Development and other departmental staff to ensure coordination with their respective fundraising efforts · 10% Serves as staff support for all special events relating to donor cultivation and recognition · 5% Produces periodic reports as required for the Foundation’s committee members, President/CEO and the Director of Development · 5% Performs other responsibilities assigned as needed to meet the goals and objectives of the University of New Orleans​


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree · Minimum of three years experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising · Applied and analytical thinking skills · Management experience using goals and objectives · Event planning experience · Demonstrated commitment to a high level of donor/customer service · Ability to effectively use social networking for outreach and communication · Strong team concept and experience working in a results-oriented team environment · Professional demeanor · Ability to maintain confidentiality · Excellent oral and written communication skills including report preparation · Solid writing, editing and presentation ability · Proven ability to independently accomplish goals and establish priorities with minimal direction · Must be flexible regarding work schedule​


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree · Project management and training experience · Experience in strategic planning, direct mail, tele-fundraising campaigns, marketing, donor relations/stewardship and grant writing · Proficiency in use of donor databases and prospect research tools, e.g. Raiser’s Edge, LexisNexis and/or WealthPoint · Graphic Design experience · Ability to respond to multiple demands concurrently · Experience in cultivation and segmentation of donor prospects​


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
