Provide advisory support to the Student Government Association (SGA) including overseeing the executive officers, senators, and judiciary in performing their duties according to the SGA procedures, laws, constitution, and University policies. Attend all executive, senatorial, and judiciary meetings. • Supervise student employee staff and work with the elected students to maximize the efficiency of the office. Manage the appointments of the SGA Legal Services. • Process all documentation for the appropriation of SGA funds to supported events, purchases, and services through approved budget, executive orders, or senate bills. Track encumbered funds from SGA budget, executive orders, and senate bills for weekly reports. • Maintain all aspects of the SGA student academic travel program by reviewing, updating, and time stamping application materials, preparing authorization to travel forms, preparing travel vouchers, maintaining office copies, tracking SGA travel funds with an excel worksheet, and communication with students about the program and the process. • Ensure compliance of all SGA documents with State and University regulations. • Update SGA website on a daily basis with minutes, bills, executive orders, and other official documents. • Communicate relevant procedural information to students, faculty, staff, and other professionals. • Other duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s degree • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. • Personal commitment to working with and supporting diverse groups and individuals. • Ability to understand and interpret policies, knowledge of risk management, experiential learning, assessment techniques, and diversity in higher education. • Comfortable speaking in large groups and excellent oral and written communication skills. • Capacity to multi-task complex assignments in a fast-paced environment.


Master’s degree in higher education administration, college student personnel, or similar field. • Experience with student governance. • Ability to work with university, community, and campus constituents and establishing cooperative relationships with each.


Up to $38,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience
