60% Budget and Finance · Assist the Dean in the preparation and submission of the College’s annual budget to Academic Affairs and Business Affairs; · Manage the general fund budget and restricted accounts for the college: expenditures, reallocations; · Review electronic and hardcopy form submissions from departments for accuracy before submitting to the Dean for approval; · Maintain grant and contract databases and review grant submission budget proposals; · Serve as liaison with Business Affairs, Academic Affairs, Bursar, General Accounting, and Sponsored Programs and Accounting on matters related to finance; · Ensure adherence and compliance of financial operations to all University, System, and State policies; · Assist Associate Dean to develop summer budget and track appropriate revenues/costs; · Coordinate with Associate Dean on all budgetary matters as they relate to academics; and · Develop and prepare reports for the Dean on matters related to finance. 20% Personnel Management · Serve as liaison with Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, and Office of Research and Sponsored Programs on matters related to personnel hiring; · Review personnel action forms for accuracy before submitting to the Dean for approval; · Oversee and track faculty, non-classified, and classified hiring for full and part-time employees; · Process graduate assistant appointments for the college, and for departments if necessary; and · Maintain personnel records and other college forms and paperwork within college office. 20% Administration and Support · Serve as office equipment manager; · Collaborate management efforts with the college's Administrative Coordinators to ensure good record retention, budget management, and document processing practices for the College; · Work with student workers and office staff to maintain a well-stocked inventory of supplies for the college; · Train faculty and staff as necessary in universities processes and policies as they apply to business and financial operations; and · Other duties as assigned by the Dean.​


Master’s degree in business, finance, or public administration with at least three (3) years’ experience in higher education; OR Bachelor’s degree with at least seven (7) years of progressively more responsible experience in higher education financial administration and planning; OR an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable skills and knowledge have been achieved.


Familiarity with budget processes and policies in the State of Louisiana, UL System, and/or the University of New Orleans. Familiarity with PeopleSoft. Five (5) years of experience in higher education budgeting or personnel management.​​


Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
