POSITION SUMMARY


RESPONSIBILITIES

This full time position will primarily work with the Program Director to oversee program academics and manage program instructors. Additional duties include: • Lead curriculum development, textbook review, and program testing • Develop and implement academic policies • Coordinate special events • Create special cohort curricula • Recruit, hire, train, and manage all teaching staff • Lead faculty meetings and in-house professional development • Observe and evaluate program instructors • Oversee student workers • Teach at least one course for three sessions per year, serve as a substitute as necessary • Serve as a program representative on professional boards and as a liaison with UNO departments • Attend and periodically present at professional development conferences • Participate in social media, marketing, and recruiting efforts


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field; 3 years academic English as a second language teaching experience; administrative experience in an academic English as a second language setting; excellent written and verbal skills; and excellent intercultural communication skills.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Practical knowledge and experience in operation of a self-supported intensive English program; mid-level management experience; working knowledge of a second language; and experience teaching English as a Foreign Language.


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
