POSITION SUMMARY

We seek an Organismal Biologist with strong quantitative skills and broad interests in the areas of ecology and evolution. Successful candidates should have a research program that contributes to our Integrative Biology PhD program. For information about the department, see http://biology.uno.edu/.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will develop extramurally funded research programs, direct graduate students, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology or related area and postdoctoral research experience.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Examples of possible research areas include microbial or plant ecology; wetlands or aquatic biology; ecological or evolutionary physiology; evolutionary ecology; wildlife biology and conservation; ecological impacts of invasive species, climate change biology, or disease ecology and evolution. The specific area and taxa of research interest are less important than demonstrated excellence and potential for continued success in research and education. Candidates with existing or future projects that involve local or regional issues, organisms, and habitats are encouraged to apply. Applications from women and minorities are especially encouraged


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
