POSITION SUMMARY


RESPONSIBILITIES

​Provides high-level administrative support for the Vice President for Business Affairs. Serves as a planning and resource person to directors and other support staff reporting to the Vice President on a wide range of administrative matters. Interacts with external and internal contacts on behalf of the Vice President. Manages campus-wide announcements of critical information from the Office of Business Affairs. Drafts correspondence, makes meeting and travel arrangements, and maintain files of correspondence. Maintains a calendar of appointments and deadlines to track the Vice President’s activities and projects. Carries out independent research into problems that may arise and recommends solutions to the Vice President. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administration reports for various agencies such as the UL System and Board of Regents, etc. Manages searches for positions that report to the Vice President; coordinates major events, committee work, and activities of the Office of Business Affairs. Oversee and supervise graduate assistants and/or student workers in the Office of Business Affairs. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Business Affairs.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree •At least five years’ extensive experience providing administrative support to executive level administrators, including coordinating special events, preferably in a higher education setting. •Knowledge of higher education and common practices. •Excellent administrative, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to plan and manage multiple and sometimes competing programs and projects. •Demonstrated ability to exercise excellent judgment when working with highly confidential and sensitive information. •Commitment to high level of customer service and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executive management and a multitude of diverse constituents, internal and external to the organization. •Proven attention to detail. •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. •Proficiency in MSOffice suite.​


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree​ •Experience with SharePoint, WebSTAR (interface to PeopleSoft) or related systems.​


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
