POSITION SUMMARY


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the selection, training and supervision of Peer Tutors and Supplemental Instruction Leaders. • Provide support services to program participants (first generation, low income and students with disabilities) in the areas of academic, personal, financial and vocational matters, maintain records and files for each participant. • Organize and implement the SSS mentoring program. • Assist in planning and implementation of cultural and enrichment activities. • Teach UNIV1001 (Study Skills) and/or ACOR 1006 (Academic Orientation – Career Exploration) • Responsible for payroll records for student workers. • Assist in Student Support Services recruitment and public relations activities. • Assist in the preparation and completion of required reports and grant writing for the U.S. Department of Education.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

: Bachelor Degree in Counseling, Sociology, Education or closely related field with experience in working with low-income and first-generation students.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in supervising or working directly with a tutoring program. Prior experience working in TRIO Programs. MS Office Suite Computer competency. Peoplesoft and Blumen experience a plus.


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience
