CPP Academic Distribution Lists FAQ

A Career-Program-Plan distribution list (hereafter called a CPP list) is an e-mail distribution list created and maintained by IT. Once a CPP list has been requested and created, the name of the list appears in the Global Address List (or GAL) of Outlook. Therefore, CPP lists are possible only through the Exchange e-mail server. This type of distribution list can be used for disseminating information or announcements by a department or university unit. However, the recipients of such messages are not able to respond to those messages; therefore, CPP lists provide only a "one-way" means of communication.
