New Student Checklist

Now you have been admitted to the University of New Orleans Graduate School. Here is a detailed list on what to do after being admitted.

1. Contact Student Housing if you plan to live on campus.
2. Provide proof of Immunization (required prior to registration).
3. Sign up for Student Health Insurance.
4. International students on F or J visas must attend the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) Orientation.
5. Register for your College or Department Orientation, if applicable.
6. Obtain UNO Student ID.

8. Graduate Assistants set up Direct Deposit for Stipends.
9. Obtain your LAN (Local Access Network) account ID and Password.
10. Purchase Parking Permit.
11. Enroll in Meal Plan. Campus Dining Services is in room 250 in the University Center. Their phone number is 504-280-6370.
12. Visit your program. Meet your Graduate Coordinator and get to know the Administrative Assistant in your program office. These are people who can help you navigate through the course of your graduate career
13. Acquaint yourself with the Library services and hours.
