UNO awards 27 master's and 9 doctoral degrees in diverse disciplines across all five colleges. While graduate students make up approximately 25% of the student population at UNO, their impact is felt not only on campus but also in the community at large.

The University of New Orleans awards graduate degrees in programs as varied as Business Administration, Chemistry, Counselor Education, Creative Writing, Educational Administration, Engineering and Applied Science, Environmental Engineering, Film Production, Financial Economics, Integrative Biology, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Political Science, Public Administration, Psychology, and Urban and Regional Planning. These are just a few of the 30 masters and 12 doctoral degree programs offered at UNO.

The Graduate School provides leadership and direction for graduate education that reflects UNO’s urban mission. In collaboration with the Provost and academic deans, as well as with the other vice presidential areas, the Graduate School seeks to enhance the quality of our graduate programs. In turn, we are committed to leveraging these great programs to promote the recruitment, progress, and success of highly qualified doctoral and masters students.
