How to Apply for an Award

In order to apply you must be newly admitted to, or in the process of being admitted to, the degree program toward which the award would apply. Students are not eligible if they are already taking courses as a degree-seeking student in the program for which they wish to receive a award. The award is rendered void if the student changes degree departments after receiving the award.  Awards are limited and decisions are made on a competitive basis and not just on meeting minimum criteria.
  • GRE or GMAT scores, and IELTS (min 6.5) / TOEFL (79) scores for international students, must be on record and be compliant with departmental requirements.
  • Official transcripts must be on file with the Office of Admissions.
  • Undergraduate GPA or Graduate GPA must meet the designated requirement (see Awards below).
  • Student must be screened for eligibility by their program.

How to Apply

Applicants should initiate the process by contacting the Graduate Coordinator of the program in which they intend to study. The Graduate School will distribute a limited number of awards to specific programs.  Programs will nominate qualified applicants for an award and notify the Graduate School.

All admission requirements should have been met by the Fall due date in order for the program to nominate applicants. These requirements include official transcripts and test scores.
