| Permission to Audit Form (PDF) |
Required for students who wish to enroll in course as an audit within the appointed timeframe. After completion, the form should be submitted to the Graduate School. Regular fees and tuition apply to audit courses. International students and GAs have restrictions on the number of courses in which they can enroll as audit. |
| Override of Unit Load (PDF) |
For graduate students who wish to enroll in more than 15 hrs in the Fall or Spring or more than 12 hrs in the Summer. |
| University Appeal Form |
Required for changes to schedule after registration closes. If requesting to add, written permission from the instructor of record for each course is required. |

For currently enrolled students who wish to change from non-degree seeking to degree seeking or from one degree program to another. |
| Request for a UNO undergraduate student to enroll in a graduate course (PDF) |
A UNO undergraduate who is completing no more than twelve hours toward a baccalaureate degree may be approved to take up to nine hours of graduate courses. The student must have earned a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have received permission of the department. |

Master's Degree
|
| Candidate Plan of Study (PDF) |
Provides a list of courses taken towards the degree. Due the semester prior to the semester a student intends to graduate. |

How a student is officially added to the University graduation list. Due the first week of classes in the semester that a student intends to graduate. |
| Request for Transfer Credit (PDF) |
Master’s degree students may transfer in up to 12 hours from another institution. Only coursework taken at the graduate level and with a grade of B or above may be transferred. |

For students seeking to complete two master's degree programs simultaneously. |
| Request of Extension of the 8-yr limit (PDF) |
Coursework taken towards a Masters's degree expires after 8 yrs. Requests for exception to the policy must be reviewed by the Graduate Council. |

ProQuest/UMI Dissertation Publishing is the agency that microfilms our dissertations.

Each published graduate work is preserved in microform and in digital form (PDF).

Two microform copies are stored in separate climate and humidity controlled vaults which meet all Library of Congress qualifications. Each microform copy meets exacting ANSI standards, and the digital copy is backed up in several locations. Each approach will ensure the long term preservation of your dissertation or thesis).
Although the Graduate School collects the fees and agreement forms for distribution, PQIL is an agency independent of the University of New Orleans. Any agreement between students and PQIL for optional services such as copyright registration, or discounted copies of your dissertation, in addition to the decision on options of access are also independent of UNO. Students are encouraged to make copies of the Author Agreement form for their records before turning them in to the Graduate School office. |
| Survey of Earned Doctorates |
The Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED) began in 1957–58 to collect data continuously on the number and characteristics of individuals receiving research doctoral degrees from all accredited U.S. institutions. The SED is sponsored by the following 6 federal agencies: National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Endowment for the Humanities, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration. |
