Talk Like A Pirate (Privateer) Day

Avast matey, are ye ready to Take the Plunge and Celebrate Talk Like 21 a Pirate (Privateer) Day and Ice Cream Social with IDS and UNO Men’s Basketball? September 19 from (11am-2pm) in the U.C. Dress and talk like a Privateer! Contests and prizes aplenty! Eat ice cream from the cook’s cauldron. Aargh! This event is sponsored by Interdisciplinary Studies and UNO Men’s Basketball.

UNO Pride Parade

Unity, UNO’s LGBTQIQAP+ organization, invites LGBT+ identified students and allies to march with us in UNO’s first Pride Parade! We’ll meet at the Friendship Circle and from there march around campus together. We invite everyone interested to come out with shirts, posters, or anything else that shows your pride alongside the executive board of Unity!

SafeSpace Training

Join us as you learn more about the queer community and how to be a SafeSpace ally! Refreshments will be provided and you must stay the whole time in order to be considered a SafeSpace ally on our campus.

The Service Coalition is a student run community service organization. We serve as the connection between volunteers, student groups, nonprofits, and service providers. We work together to address New Orleans’ social, environmental, and education needs by volunteering with various nonprofits within the community. PBSU’s 2nd Annual Fashion Show: “Strut for a Scholar”

Come out for a night full of entertainment from fashion designers and performers! All performers/special guests are renowned in New Orleans. The show costs $5 for entry with a Student ID. A portion of the proceeds will be awarded in the form a scholarship to a future incoming freshman! This is capstone event so make sure not to miss it. See you there!

Swampball 2016

Swampball is a mud volleyball tournament where various teams compete against each other in different brackets to win the championship. This event’s earnings go towards scholarships for UNO students that are given out in the spring. The event also includes music, food, and other forms of entertainment. This event is sponsored by UNO Ambassadors
