(September 5-22: Thursday-Saturday, 7:30 and Sunday 2:30 in the PAC) – Silver
Urban corruption, political agendas, school voucher schemes, and gala openings…Just another day for New Orleans’ only newspaper. But a fearful decision about the future of the paper will change everything. It will throw the lives of its reporters and editors into an unfamiliar world where loyalty, friendship, and careers are all in doubt. Based on true events, Jim Fitzmorris’ “A Truckload of Ink” is a hard hitting look at an industry and community in the midst of irrevocable change.

Prevent Dating Violence (Counseling Services) (UC Atrium from 11:30am to 1:30pm) – Red
Information table is from Counseling Services and Metropolitan Center for Women & Children. Learn how to help protect yourself and others from dating violence and sexual assault.

Join your Peer Mentors as they help you create and promote your goals! Stop by the Student Success Center and write out your semester, year, or life goals on sheets of paper that will be displayed in the Privateer Enrollment Center!

Fresh Start! (REC Center) (Lobby of REC Center 4pm to 5pm) – Red
The first day of college is a fresh start for everyone. For all freshmen it’s starting a new school, but for some it’s also a new city or state or even country. Take advantage of this fresh start! Join us for a weekly workout and learn about healthy workout habits. Please come dressed to workout, bring water, and be ready to sweat!!!

Fight the 15 (Enrollment Services) (Outside of the Library 4:30pm) – Red
Join a UNO staff member from Enrollment Services for a 15 minute walk around campus every Wednesday. This is a great way to fight the “freshmen 15” and get to know each other new students.

Greek Life Panel in the Dark (Inter-fraternity Council) (Recital Hall in the PAC 7pm) – Silver
Do you have questions about fraternities, but don’t want to feel embarrassed by asking? The Inter-fraternity Council will be hosting an event in which a panel of Greek leaders will be answering anonymous questions about Greek life at UNO. In order to keep the questions anonymous, most of the lights will be turned off in the room. So come join us!

The virtual scavenger hunt will help you become more familiar with Career Services, resources, and the online jobs database available to you-Career Compass UNO’s Opportunities Database. Start your trek with the UNO Career Services office to pick up your initial clue. Food is served for this event. Prizes for the hunt!

ID Talk (FYE) (Student Success Center 12:30pm) – Green
It is a First-Year Interest Group (FIG) that provides a unique, safe space for students to explore issues surrounding identities such as race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, and class. This community of students will come together bi-weekly to explore identity issues through dialogue, film clips, reflection, and special activities. Join us at our interest meeting to find out more about this FIG!

International Student Organization Meeting (ISO) (ED 122 12:30pm to 1:30pm) – Silver
