The Advocacy Network was established to connect the UNO community with important information about proposed state and federal policies which may affect the University. As a student, graduate, donor or friend of UNO, your voice is the University's greatest strategic asset. This network serves to keep the UNO Community informed about legislative proposals moving through Congress and the Louisiana State Legislature.

Registration is simple and free. Registered members of the UNO Advocacy Network receive e-mail updates about legislative action when the Louisiana Legislature is in session. Users also gain access to bills, plain language legislative summaries and status updates on legislation directly affecting the University, higher education or state employees.

Important tools on this site include the bill digest, a tracking feature for bills that would produce a direct and immediate impact on UNO, contact information for federal and state officials, and relevant news updates.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about pending legislation or any other External Affairs issue. I welcome your feedback and engagement.

Sincerely,

Rachel A. Kincaid
Vice President for External Affairs
