Applications for assistantships should be submitted no later than March 1st.

Many types of graduate assistantships are available to CWW students:

Additionally, the CWW has administrative assistantships, research assistantships, as well as editorial positions at Bayou Magazine and
UNO Press.

Assistantship stipends are available in three amounts:
$8,100 for students who commit themselves to a teaching load of three courses per academic year; $5,400 for students who teach two courses per academic year; and $4,900 for students who work 12 hours a week in non-teaching positions.

In addition to the money that the assistantships pay, all graduate assistants also receive full tuition waivers. Any student who has held an assistantship for an academic year is entitled to a tuition waiver for the summer term. Assistantships are usually renewable for a second year.
