Workshops and Presentations

UNO Counseling Services staff and interns present psychoeducational workshops each semester. Additionally, staff and interns are available by request to present psycho-educational and skill-building presentations and workshops on a variety of issues and concerns of relevance and interest to the university community. Titles include:

  • Achieving Balance & Managing Stress
  • Conquering Procrastination
  • Conquering Test Anxiety
  • Time Management
  • Learning Styles and Study Skills

UNO Faculty or Staff may request classroom presentations and/or other outreach programs on the above topics with advance notice.  Students and student leaders may also request outreach presentations for their student organizations or residence halls. Additional workshops and presentations related to mental health issues are available and/or can be developed by request. 

Relaxation Sessions

Would you like to feel less stressed? Counseling Service also periodically offers free relaxation sessions which include a combination of progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery to combat tension and stress.
