Counseling Services two professional staff are experienced in the assessment and treatment of mental health concerns common among university students. Graduate students from regional universities enrolled in various behavioral disciplines also provide services through Counseling Services under the supervision of the two licensed professional staff.

Mr. Péré earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Tulane University and is registered as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (BACS) with the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners. As a clinician, Mr. Péré is a generalist and works with students with a wide-range of emotional, behavioral and interpersonal concerns. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Péré has worked in the areas of community organization and outreach, and diversity awareness, and currently serves as a clinical supervisor for Counseling Services interns.

Rosamond Myers, Ph.D. (University of Southern Mississippi) oversees the training program for the masters level internship program offered by Counseling Services.  Earlier in her professional life, Dr. Myers worked in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, but since 1991 has chosen to devote her career to working with college students in university counseling center settings.  As a clinician, Dr. Myers is a generalist and works with a wide variety of student concerns. This is an ideal match for her interests as she enjoys assisting students from various walks of life address and successfully meet developmental, academic, and personal life challenges.  Additionally, Dr Myers enjoys her supervisory role with young professionals in training, and working with them to develop their professional competencies and identities. She has supervised students at the masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels in various mental health fields.

Jeremy Peres, Psychology Practicum Intern

Jeremy Peres is a doctoral candidate in the UNO Psychology program. Mr. Peres is supervised by Adrian C. Péré, LCSW-BACS.

Amy Sheehy, Social Work Intern
