Kenny Broberg, 23, a Minnesota native and a graduate student at Park University in Missouri, is the 2017 silver medalist in The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He has won first prize at international piano competitions in Hastings and Dallas, as well as medals in competitions in Sydney, Seattle, New Orleans, and Wideman.

The Prima Trio

The Prima Trio, is an award-winning trio that includes Boris Allakhverdyan on clarinet, Gulia Gurevich on violin, and Anastasia Dedik on piano. The group, founded in 2004 while its members were studying at Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio, has performed throughout the United States and Europe.

Musaica Chamber Ensemble continues its 12th Season with "Music in Transition." The program will include music from Mozart's Divertimento for String Trio; Britten's Metamorphoses for Solo Oboe; and Marcel Grandjany's Aria in the Classic Style for Harp and String Quartet; and will feature Arnold Schönberg's magnificent string sextet "Transfigured Night."

Musaica is a non-profit chamber ensemble founded in the fall of 2006 by eight devoted professional musicians from the Louisiana Philharmonic. Its mission is to promote and foster chamber music performance; to encourage the composition of new music; and to increase the awareness and appreciation of chamber music. Musaica presents a variety of eclectic and entertaining chamber music to audiences throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area. Now in itstwelfth season, this adventuresome chamber group continues to present world premieres as well great but infrequently heard compositions by both well and lesser known composers. Musaica has been hailed by the New Orleans Times-Picayune as "a triumph of musicianship and adventurous programming." The ensemble was the winner of the 2007 award for Best Chamber Music Concert by Gambit's "Tribute to the Classical Arts," and has been a frequent nominee for other programs and world premieres. Musaica performances are free with a suggested donation of $5.00 for students and $10.00 for everybody else. We will be taking and cash and checks at the door.

Ilya Yakushev

Ilya Yakushev, an award-winning, Russian pianist, has performed extensively around the world including Russia, Korea, Singapore, and the United States. He has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, the Boston Pops, and was the 2005 winner of the World Piano Competition.
