Upon receiving his B.A. in English and Philosophy from Bucknell University, Daniel Gonzalez headed south down the Mississippi. He received his M.F.A. in Fiction from McNeese State University, then received his Ph.D. from LSU. His primary area of research was early modern British literature, but his work and scholarly interest since Hurricane Katrina has centered on online learning and the growing role of technology in university instruction. He has been the recipient of a number of awards for writing, teaching, and service, and in his newest role as Associate Director of Online and Non-Credit Instruction, he assists colleagues and students in making the most of the brave new world of online education.
