Requirements for MAT Programs

Application Process

All admission documents are to be submitted to the UNO Graduate School. Please refer to the graduate application process for more details.

Admission requires a grade point average of at least 2.5 in undergraduate work and 3.0 in graduate work, if applicable.

Documentation for MAT Programs

Individuals applying for the Master of Arts in Teaching need to complete and submit the following documents to the UNO Graduate School:

*TAC Application is only for those applying for Early Intervention certification. This documents is to be directly submitted to Dr. Linda Flynn-Wilson.

MAT Candidate Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
  • PRAXIS I, ACT, or SAT scores
  • PRAXIS II 5014
  • Transcripts of graduate studies, if applicable

Exit Requirements for MAT

**For Early Intervention certification only

To complete EI certification and the master’s degree, including TAC coursework and field experiences, the Louisiana Department of Education requires PRAXIS tests: 5014, 5691, & 5621
