Dr. Paul Thomas Bole, a native New Orleanian, is a dedicated special educator who has focused his academic career on high incidence mild/moderate exceptionalities, including gifted students with disabilities and undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation. His advanced university preparation, experience teaching in public and private schools, in addition to his training and experience as a mental health counselor, has provided him the requisite skills necessary to conduct his passion for teaching, learning, teacher preparation, and educational reform.

Dr. Bole's interests include the following exceptionalities:
Learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disabilities, academically gifted and talented students, twice-exceptionalities, Autism Spectrum Disorders including Asperger's Syndrome, and English language learners & special education

Dr. Bole's interests include the following teacher-preparation specialty areas:
General and special educator preparation, developmental and educational psychology, evidence-based best practices, new teacher induction (for the 21st century), classroom management, inclusive education, urban special education and reform, culturally responsive teaching, transition services including post-school outcomes, special education research (qualitative and quantitative), special education law, educational & assistive technology, AND secondary social studies
