Dr. Lena Nuccio is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education (CISE). She is certified in grades PreK-8, and she taught elementary school for eight years in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans, a MS in Elementary School Counseling, from Loyola, New Orleans, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi. She teaches Classroom Management, Principles of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Child and Adolescent Development and supervises Student Teachers and Interns in the field.
