Dr. April BedfordUNO Education Professor Named Co-Editor of National Journal

University of New Orleans education professor April Whatley Bedford has been named co-editor of the Journal of Research in Childhood Education. Bedford is a professor of curriculum and instruction in the College of Education and Human Development.

Cirecie West-OlatunjiCounselor Education Graduate Assumes Presidency of the American Counseling Association

Dr. Cirecie West-Olatunji, a graduate of the COEHD's masters and doctoral programs in Counseling and Counselor Education, is currently serving as the President of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

Counselor Education Student Receives Prestigious Award

Melissa Deroche, a Ph.D. student in Counselor Education, has been awarded the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Foundation Minority Fellowship. This award provides $20,000.00, as well as leadership training at the NBCC headquarters.
