Programs of Study

to better understand the academic offerings within our college, it is best to begin with the three primary categories within which our programs fall:

Teacher Education 

Young boy coloring with chalk on pavement(Initial and Advanced) – These are programs leading to certifications (initial and "add-on") and advanced degrees for teachers in PK-12 settings. Undergraduate programs plus the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) fall into this category, along with add-on certifications and other advanced programs for educators who wish to pursue an M.Ed. or Ph.D.

Education Leadership

The programs in this category are for those interested in leadership positions at the school or district level, as well as for those interested in higher education issues. These graduate students pursue either the M.Ed. or the Ph.D.

Counseling

The counseling programs are for those who wish to become licensed clinical mental health counselors, certified school counselors, and/or counselor educator. These graduate students pursue either the M.Ed. or the Ph.D.
