The College of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Development

The College of Liberal Arts and the College of Education and Human Development combined to form the new College of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Development.

Education and Human Development offers quality academic programs in initial and advanced teacher preparation as well as master’s and doctoral degrees for school career professionals and community counselors.

We are extremely proud of our more than 10,000 alumni who continue to positively impact the educational landscape in the New Orleans metropolitan area, Louisiana, and the nation.


Our students make a difference in the community through internships at community organizations, schools, hospitals, and non-profit organizations throughout the Greater New Orleans region.

Students may also join Kappa Delta Epsilon, the National Honorary Educational Society, or Chi Sigma Iota, the International Honor Society for Counselor Education.
