Dr. Lillian Y. Fok is the Seraphia Leyda Teaching Fellow of the University of New Orleans (UNO), serving as Professor of Management in the College of Business Administration.

Lillian was born and raised in Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region of China. She received her undergraduate education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She completed her graduate education in the United States and received her doctorate degree from Georgia State University. She joined the Department of Management at UNO in 1989. She has actively participated in the development of various undergraduate, graduate, as well as executive programs. She is well respected by her students and peers, and has won several teaching and research awards.

Lillian is very active beyond the UNO community. She is a contributing member of YWCA and the recipient of the Role Model of the Year Award (2001) which she received personal recognition from U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu. She is currently serving the Junior Achievement New Orleans as program evaluator and has also worked for the Department of Mental Health as private consultant in the areas of Quality Assurance, Evaluation, and system implementation from 2003 to 2009. Her extensive consulting record includes working with many companies and organizations such as: Strategic Petroleum Reserve, Junior Achievement New Orleans, Office of Mental Health, United Way, Oschner Hospital, New Orleans Visitor & Convention Bureau, Murphy Oil, and Memorial Medical Center, Inc, in Savannah Georgia. Her consulting expertise includes providing Program Evaluation, Quality Assurance, System Development/Implementation, and corporate training in the areas of Quality Improvement and Information System Effectiveness, as well as Customer Relationship Management.

Lillian has over 130 publications appeared in high quality journals and proceedings such as: International Journal of Management, The Journal of Supply Chain Management, Public Personnel Management Journal, Information & Management, Women in Management Review, for example. Her research has been highly recognized by her peers. Many of her publications had been recognized by her peers as Best Paper, Award for Excellence, Distinguished Paper, Top Paper, etc. She was invited to speak at many workshops and appeared in many conferences as presenters. She is well respected and liked by her colleagues and students. She received many awards while serving at University of New Orleans; these awards include: Graduate Students Appreciation Award, Teacher of the Year Award, and the Seraphia Leyda Teaching Fellowship. In the past, Lillian has received many summer research grants from the university in support of her research efforts. Her teaching evaluation has consistently been excellent compared to her peers.
