Elizabeth Deitch joined the UNO faculty in 2008, after previously teaching at Tulane University and Loyola University in New Orleans.  Dr. Deitch teaches courses at UNO in the areas of management, organizational behavior, research methods and statistics. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Tulane University in 2002.  Research interests include workplace discrimination, stress and employee well-being, and coping with natural disasters and organizational change.  Dr. Deitch has published book chapters dealing with racial discrimination in the workplace, and with discrimination against gay and lesbian employees.  She has also provided expert testimony for employee litigation regarding the impact of workplace discrimination on mental health.  Her most recent publications explored factors that contributed to business recovery after Hurricane Katrina, both in the short-term and four years after the storm.  She is a member of the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
