The University of New Orleans’ computer science department ranks best in Louisiana and among the top 300 universities in the world based on the performance of scientific papers. The annual rankings are published by National Taiwan University and are broken down into 14 subject areas. In the area of computer science, UNO is the only Louisiana university in the top 75 American institutions. It is tied with University of California, Santa Cruz. UNO ranked 289th out of 500 of the world’s finest research universities in the global rankings.
The Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities has been released by National Taiwan University since 2012.
