UNO Marketing Week Brings Region’s Leading Marketing Professionals to Campus Oct. 16-19

Now in its sixth year, the University of New Orleans’ Marketing Week is designed to help interested students, particularly marketing majors, prepare for careers by hearing first-hand lessons from those who work in the field. Featured speakers will visit regularly scheduled marketing and other business administration classes throughout the week. Marketing Week lectures are open to all UNO students, and a full schedule can be found here.

This year’s keynote speaker is Chris Miller, a marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience working with food service, consumer packaged goods, technology and toy brands. He is currently consulting for Einstein Bros. Bagels on innovation and channel strategy and advising other clients on brand positioning and consumer insights. Miller’s previous posts include vice president of marketing at Smoothie King, chief marketing officer of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and vice president of marketing for electronic learning toy maker Leap-Frog Enterprises, where he led efforts for the digital-centric and e-commerce relaunch of the brand. Between 1996 and 2007, Miller worked for Taco Bell/YUM Brands and earned Effie awards for the Taco Bell “Chihuahua” ad campaign and brand relaunch. He began his marketing career at Young & Rubicam Advertising, where he headed major consumer brand accounts such as Clorox and Xerox. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University.

Miller will speak on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in Kirschman Hall, room 122. The roster of scheduled speakers also includes:
