The University of New Orleans Department of Management and Marketing will host its annual Management Week from March 13-17, 2017. In addition to variety of guest speakers set to visit regularly scheduled classes in the College of Business Administration, there will be a panel discussion open to all students on Thursday, March 16 focused specifically on the job search process.
"We are very excited about our featured speakers for Management Week,” said Pamela Kennett-Hensel, chair of UNO’s management and marketing department. “The stories we hear firsthand from our guests complement classroom instruction by connecting the concepts we discuss in class to the real-world experiences of running a business.”
Scheduled guest speakers include City Park CEO Robert Becker, Bywater Bakery owner Chaya Conrad, Bank of Louisiana CEO Tom Sheldon and Fazande Consulting human resources specialist Shannon Fazande. The panel discussion, entitled “Everything You Want to Know About the Job Search, but Were Afraid to Ask,” will feature Humana Marketpoint community sales and marketing liaison Joe Ewell, 504ward executive director Mary Matthews and Rare Insight speaker coach Jessica Rareshide. The panel discussion takes place Thursday, March 16 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Kirschman Hall room 131.
The UNO Department of Management and Marketing holds 2 annual week-long events that bring top area professionals to campus for guest lectures in business classes. Marketing Week takes place each fall and Management Week happens in the spring semester.
