Three UNO Employees Honored During State of University Address

University of New Orleans President John Nicklow on Thursday, Sept. 22, honored three employees for their outstanding service. The recognition was given during Nicklow’s bi-annual State of the University address.

Kevin Graves, senior associate dean in the College of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Development, was awarded the Cooper Mackin Medallion. The award was established in 1998 to honor the third chancellor of UNO and is presented to the faculty or staff member who has made outstanding contributions in support of the University’s mission.

Liane Carboni, assistant to the dean in the College of Business Administration, was presented with the Presidential Staff Medallion. The award is given annually to the staff member who has demonstrated outstanding service the University community.

Robert “Bobby” Dupont, associate professor and chair of history, was presented with the Gordon H. “Nick” Mueller International Leadership Medallion. The award is given in recognition of the contributions that we made to the University by Mueller and is awarded to an individual who has provided significant leadership toward the internationalization of UNO. Mueller was on hand to present the honor to Dupont.
