New Orleans CityBusiness recognizes the contributions of eleven University of New Orleans alumni to the region’s financial industry in its Money Makers class of 2016. The annual list honors top professionals in banking, investment, accounting, wealth management and corporate leadership based on reader submissions and evaluation of the nominee’s impact on the region.
In the banking sector, UNO alumni on the honoree list include James Hudson, president and chief executive officer at First National Bankers Bank; Darrell Mipro, group controller at Hancock/Whitney Bank; and Mark Boucree, vice president of community development banking at Capital One Bank.
Among corporate leaders, the list includes Derek Gardes, chief financial officer at Ryan Gootee General Contractors; Cheryl LaBorde, chief financial officer of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans; and Patrick Voss, vice president and chief financial officer at Blessey Marine Services.
Jennifer Hyde, financial adviser at Northwestern Mutual is named among honorees from the investment group. Other honorees named are Philip Gunn, managing director and audit partner at Postlethwaite and Netterville; Ralph Leopold, managing director at Ralph Leopold and Associates; Toni McCord, CPA; and Todd Tournillion, audit director at Postlethwaite and Netterville.
