University of New Orleans political science professor Robert Montjoy will deliver a timely lecture Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Earl K. Long Library, titled “From Socrates to Photo IDs: Issues in Electoral Design.”
Sponsored by Friends of the UNO Library, the event will take place at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

Montjoy, who came to UNO in 2004 from Auburn University, is active in teaching, research and outreach. His research has appeared in many journals, including Public Administration Review, Policy Studies Review, Publius and Public Opinion Quarterly. He has been responsible for more than $5 million in applied research and outreach for public agencies as well as reports published by pubic organizations such as the Federal Election Commission and the National Association of Counties.
Friends of the UNO Library exists to support the campus library by raising funds and sponsoring programs that further the aims of the library.
