Children ages four through 17 are invited to attend the New Orleans Women in Technology’s second annual “Bring Your Daughter to Hack Day” at the University of New Orleans on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Free and open to boys and girls, the event is designed to encourage all children – but especially girls -- to engage with technology and STEM fields from a young age.
Children will grapple with fundamental concepts in engineering, coding and video production through four workshops:
The event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in UNO's Engineering Building and Mathematics Building, 2000 Lakeshore Dr., and participants are asked to register in advance online at bringyourdaughtertohackday.com.
