The Louisiana Early Start Program provides tuition assistance to eligible 11th and 12th grade students from both public & private high schools when they are enrolled in college courses for dual credit. The University of New Orleans is a participant in the Early Start Program.

Public High School Students

Public high school students who enroll in classes that carry both high school & college credit are eligible for funding by the Louisiana Board of Regents.

  • Any additional courses taken over 3 credit hours will be billed at $100 per credit hour and is the student's responsibility.
  • Students are also responsible for all additional charges including parking decals.

Private High School Students

Private high school (or home school) students who take classes that carry both high school & college credit are not eligible for funding by the Louisiana Board of Regents, but may enroll at a reduced tuition cost.

  • The first 3 credit hours of enrolled courses will be assessed at a rate of $100.
  • Any additional courses taken over 3 credit hours will be billed at $100 per credit hour.
