In west Cincinnati I was born and raised, on the theatre stage is where I spent most of my days! Although, for the past three years, I’ve enjoyed being a hip hop group fitness instructor. When not attending a live concert at the Superdome or UNO’s Lakefront Arena, I enjoy bike rides in the world-famous City Park or trying out the different sights, sounds, and tastes of the culturally-rich city of New Orleans. There is truly no other place in the world like New Orleans and UNO students have the great opportunity to develop academically, professionally, and personally in a truly unique setting. As the premier urban, public research institution for New Orleans, the city truly becomes your campus at UNO. There is a reason UNO is called “The Heartbeat of the Crescent City.” I invite you to campus to come discover the fantastic offerings for yourself—you’ll be amazed!

I'm originally from Birmingham, AL and moved to New Orleans after finishing graduate school in December 2009.  I can say, without a doubt, that I have never lived anywhere so unique and so culturally rich as New Orleans.  From what I've learned, if you're from here you never leave...if you leave you come back...if you're here for the first time, there's a good chance you'll stay.  What's great about UNO is that you get the combination of a stellar education paired with the fun of being a student in a city like New Orleans.  It's easy to find yourself walking the French Quarter with your history class, or meeting for music appreciation class at a jazz club on Frenchman Street as our professors are very supportive or learning opportunities outside the classroom! Being an admissions counselor gives me the great opportunity to help with this exciting transition to college, so please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.

Growing up in a military household and living all over the country, I never had an opportunity to call a single place "home" until I made the decision to move to New Orleans. I can honestly say that the Crescent City is an incredible place to call "home." Culture, art, history, music, food...all amazing elements of this unique and diverse city. The University of New Orleans offers outstanding programs of study, an active campus life, and opportunities of a lifetime. UNO has something for everyone in all walks of life. Should you have any questions along the way, let me know—I'm happy to help! In addition to working with incoming freshman, I am the Adult and Military student liaison. I am honored to be a part of the continued exciting growth of this University and I look forward to the bright future ahead! Go Privateers!

Greetings! I originally grew up on a farm in Iowa and moved to New Orleans in 2010 to attend the University of New Orleans for an undergraduate degree. I graduated from UNO in 2013! I had an amazing college experience and have grown to love this city. Not only did I meet people from New Orleans and greater Louisiana, but from all over the US and even the globe, as there is representation on the UNO campus from all 50 states and 100 different countries! Being an admissions counselor gives me the wonderful opportunity to help students find their way to UNO and to have an incredible experience, much as I did being a student here!
