1. Read the application instructions carefully before completing your application.

2. Register:

To begin the application process you will have to register first and create a username and password. Some application features may not work with the Safari browser. If you experience difficulties,  try to use Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox. If you are returning to UNO and applied using our online application, please use the same username and password. If you need to create another username and password, do not use the same email address.

3. E-mail Address (not an UNO e-mail account):

Provide a reliable non UNO e-mail account that you will check regularly and keep throughout the admissions process. You may need to adjust your e-mail filtering to accept mail from UNO addresses.

4. Social Security Card:

Your card contains your full legal name and your social security number. All domestic students must enter their valid Social Security Number (SSN) to be considered for scholarships or financial aid. Failure to do so will also result in delays in the admissions process.

5. Citizenship Status (non-US Citizen Only):

Know your immigrant status (e.g., refugee, student, temporary worker) and the type of visa you hold (e.g., F1, H1, J2, etc.).

6. Parents' or Legal Guardians' Residency Information:

Know their birth dates or the date they moved to the state where they legally reside.

7. School Names, Addresses, and Dates Attended:

Request official transcripts to be mailed or electronically sent to the Univeristy of New Orleans, Office
of Admissions.

8. Test Scores (ACT, SAT, COMPASS, GRE, GMAT, AP):

Make sure to take the appropriate assessment test and direct the testing agency to report your scores to UNO.

9. Submit Application Fee:

$20 is the non-refundable UNO application fee all applicants. If you did not provide payment information when you submitted the online applications or have been contacted by our staff regarding an unsuccessful attempt to process your application fee, you can re-submit the payment information only. 10. Send all Official Transcripts:

There are different ways to send your transcripts to UNO. No matter how you send them, please follow the instructions to best ensure that the Office of Admissions receives your transcripts.. More on how to send transcripts ->
