Over 4,000 students transfer to the University of New Orleans each year. Approximately half are traditional age college students who want to continue their college experience on the UNO campus. The other half are adult students, many with families and careers. They have accepted the challenge of pursuing their education while balancing these important personal and professional commitments.
UNO understands that transfer students have varying academic and social needs, and we strive to accommodate those needs. That's why UNO offers a broad range of evening and Saturday classes, as well as our summer sunrise and mini-session classes.
Every semester, UNO offers a Transfer Student Orientation to make the adjustment to campus both pleasant and successful. Our faculty and staff are available during their regular office hours and by appointment to give you the extra attention you may need. Approximately 60 percent of UNO's graduates began here as transfer students.
