Regardless of what concentration you choose your studies will cover the foundations of finance as well as more specialized areas such as investments, personal finance, analysis, small business finance.

To expand what you learn in the classroom further, you may take advantage of internships opportunities at such important New Orleans area businesses. Recent examples of our students’ internships include working for New Orleans BioInnovation Center, Whitney Bank, and Merrill Lynch.

After you have completed your degree from UNO, you will be qualified to work in research, policy, non-profits, and government organizations. You will also be prepared for the rigors of graduate work in finance, economics, and related fields in the best graduate programs in the country.
