Electrical Engineering (B.S.)

At UNO, our electrical engineering program combines advanced technologies with everyday practicalities. Follow your interest and fascination for modern-world technology while preparing for careers in expanding industries such as energy, communications, information technology, and manufacturing.

UNO’s degree in electrical engineering offers two concentrations to bring a specialized focus to your course of study. A concentration in computer science immerses in the design of computers, computer system components, and advanced applications. If your interests lean more towards robotics, artificial intelligence, and audio technologies, then the department also offers a concentration in electrical engineering.

Whichever concentration you choose, you will be expected to complete a hands-on, project-based curriculum that not only includes a comprehensive selection of science, mathematics, and computer-related courses, but also access to state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories solely for the research and instruction of microprocessing, energy conversion, optics, and electrical and electronics circuits.

As an electrical engineering graduate from UNO, you will be an ideal candidate for any number for graduate schools or employment in rapidly expanding industries. Regardless your path you will be given the knowledge and skill to develop for tomorrow’s technologies.
